Still missing: business name, street address, town or city, phone. Google needs at least a name and address for local business results.

  1. Copy the code and paste it into the <head> of your homepage (or contact page). Most website builders have a “custom code” or “header scripts” setting.
  2. Make sure the name, address and phone match your Google Business Profile exactly.
  3. Check it with Google's Rich Results Test or the Schema validator.

Common questions.

About this tool and how to use the result.

What is local business schema?

A small block of code that tells search engines your business name, address, phone, hours and service area in a format they read reliably. It does not show on the page for visitors.

Will schema improve my rankings?

It is not a magic ranking boost, but it removes doubt about who you are and where you are, and it supports rich results. It is a quick, low-risk win.

Which business type should I pick?

The most specific one that fits, such as Dentist or Plumber. If none fits, LocalBusiness is fine.
